Bangkok Again!

Bangkok Again!

Oh how I loved how familiar Bangkok was again. I knew how to get around with no issues and checked in my favourite hostel there called, “Bed Station.” I spent 7 days here leaving on June 17th just taking time resting up and dealing with some personal issues. There was no site seeing on this trip. Most days I just hung out around the hostel, worked on a Facebook page for the guide we met in Nepal to help him with his business. Every day I wasn’t sure where I was going to go next and I thought I’d go to Phuket and booked a flight there to attend Tiger Muy Thai. I thought I’d get fit for a month before heading off to Bangkok Again - 81 of 107another country. Hussam who I met him in Penang, Malaysia had messaged me asking if I had any interest in going to the Philippines with him around August. I told him that would fit into my time line and that maybe we could do Vietnam and Cambodia as well. It is always nice to travel with a friend. I thought it would also be great to “kill” time at camp again. The day that my flight was booked to go to Phuket, I really wasn’t in the mood to go. I wasn’t even packed still in my pajamas. I was sitting on a bean bag chair when I saw this guy come up the stairs. “CHARLIE!!” I shouted. He looked up and said, “JULIE!!” I met Charlie in Myanmar and we had hung out a few times there. It was good to see him again. I decided to cancel my flight and stay in Bangkok. I didn’t really want to go to another camp again, I just wanted to relax. Charlie and I spent a lot of time just hanging out and partying with other people we met at the hostel. There was Masa, James, Tetteh, James, Rory, Chester, and a Floridan who’s name I cannot remember, ha ha. Masa is from Slovakia and we became very good friends instantly, she’s a gem. James from the UK worked in I.T. switching fields into wood working. Tetteh was absolutely hilarious, love him. James and Rory the two lovely Irish boys from Belfast. Chester from the Philippines who was so happy. We partied on Khao San road, ate scorpions, and ate copious amount of buckets filled with booze. After being in Bangkok for 10 days I decided it was time to move on and go to Cambodia. I messaged Hussam (Sam) and apologized for not being able to do Cambodia and Vietnam with him but I just couldn’t kill 1 month of time in Thailand waiting to do the Philippines. He was ok with it and I went on to fly into Siem Reap.
